I've been in the home service industry for nearly 20 years. Starting out in 2001 as a very successful in home (commission only) salesperson. Selling Million's of dollars of service and equipment every year. Within a short time I became the General Manager/Sales Manager of the business, while also becoming Co-Owner. Within a few years we grew that same small family business from about $2m per year in revenue, to a business that did nearly $10m in revenue. The beauty was that we grew this businesses at that pace through the last "great recession" years, while also maintaining a 20%+ net profit! We learned and utilized the right way to grow a profitable home service business. Our philosophy was "Get 'em, and Keep "em"! That was meant for both our customers, and our employees. Because of our rapid success, we got a lot of attention and we received an opportunity to sell the business for a very high multiple- so we took it!
Because of my established credentials in the home service business space, shortly after the sale I joined the largest home service franchise system in the USA. Managing several different very large portfolios of home service businesses. Everything from HVAC, plumbing and electrical businesses, to call centers, to home warranty sales teams, to franchise development teams.
